We are a small, family run business that started with a few jars of sweet & spicy Cranberry Pepper Jam in the mountains of Colorado. As demand for our jams grew, we began experimenting with other forms of food preservation. After a few hectic years of retailing our jams and freeze-dried snacks at festivals, we needed a commercial kitchen to meet our many wholesale requests. One idea led to another, and by the time we opened, just before Halloween of 2019, (yes, mere months before the pandemic), we had evolved into a cafe & gift shop!
After almost 5 years in a very cute & cozy, (tiny, very tiny) building, we found our new “home” just a couple of blocks away. In January 2024 we purchased 415 Rose Street in beautiful Georgetown, Colorado, and opened the door to guests 3 months later. Yes, we miss our old location with the great yard, tree house & fairy garden, but we love our new space and all the exciting plans we have for it.
Mountain Mamas is now open in the evenings for Happy Hour & Dinner, in addition to Breakfast & Lunch. And did we mention the Frozen Cocktails??
